Devil’s Pool, Zambia

he Victoria Falls is one of the worlds biggest waterfalls, it is also a home to one of the most amazing natural waterborn phenomenons or as the locals in Zambia call it –The Devil’s Pool. The Pool is right on the edge of the falls. When the river flow is at a low level but still pretty awesome and massive (September till December), a rock wall on the edge of the 100 meter falls slows down the current and prevents brave from going overboard though it is defently not a safe place, Some deaths have occurred as a result of people that slipped over the rock barrier.
There is one guide-company that is allowed to take people to this pool (for a relatively small fee) and you can get to the Devil’s Pool through a little hike (on Livingston Island).
